Axxess Unveils Game-Changing Uncapped Fixed-LTE Plans Powered by Vodacom

Axxess, a prominent Internet service provider (ISP), has recently broadened its offerings by introducing a new lineup of both capped and uncapped fixed-LTE packages, all operating on the robust infrastructure of Vodacom’s network. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Axxess, which has long provided LTE services through MTN and Telkom. However, as of February 27, 2024, it has seamlessly integrated packages utilizing Vodacom’s network into its portfolio.

Remarkably, unlike Vodacom’s own retail business, which does not presently extend uncapped options and instead imposes rigid data caps on its Home Internet plans, Axxess now provides customers with unprecedented freedom through four distinct uncapped plans powered by Vodacom’s network. These packages vary in both speed and Fair Usage Policies (FUPs), offering subscribers a range of choices tailored to their specific needs.

The entry-level uncapped plan, priced at an affordable R299 per month, furnishes speeds of up to 20Mbps, accompanied by a 50GB data consumption threshold. Once this limit is reached, speeds are gracefully reduced to 2Mbps for the remainder of the billing cycle. For a slightly higher monthly fee of R399, subscribers can enjoy faster speeds of up to 30Mbps and a more generous FUP of 150GB before experiencing throttling to 2Mbps.

Stepping up in both performance and price, the R499 per month package delivers speeds of up to 50Mbps, coupled with a 300GB FUP. Similarly, once the FUP is exhausted, speeds are adjusted to 2Mbps for continued access. At the top end of the spectrum lies the “Pro” package, priced at R699 per month, which offers uncapped usage with no explicit speed limitations. However, Axxess retains the prerogative to manage user traffic as necessary. Nevertheless, once subscribers surpass the 600GB consumption mark in a month, speeds are gently tapered to 1Mbps to ensure network stability and fair usage.

To aid customers in accessing these services optimally, Axxess recommends employing the TP-Link MR600 router, available at a discounted rate of R1,499 for subscribers of its fixed-LTE packages. Alternatively, an array of other compatible routers, including models from Alcatel, Huawei, Nokia, and ZTE, are also supported.

For those not requiring uncapped data, Axxess additionally offers capped Vodacom fixed-LTE packages. These plans provide data allocations ranging from 25GB to 200GB, with prices starting from R199 and extending up to R499 per month. Notably, unused data on these plans rolls over for one additional month following activation.

Below is a summary of the capped Vodacom Fixed-LTE plans available from Axxess, along with the corresponding prices for data top-ups:

As with any mobile broadband service, actual speeds may vary depending on factors such as LTE router capability and network coverage. Nonetheless, with Axxess’s diverse range of fixed-LTE packages, customers can now enjoy unparalleled flexibility and performance tailored to their individual requirements.
